MicraNET is a cost effective RS485 communications system linking Geoquip's reputable detection analysers together onto a single bus. The alarm information is collated on a controller unit which presents all the alarms on an RS232 connection to either a PC running either Geolog Vision or Datalog alarm management software.
The system comprises of Node modules called Slaves that each have 12 monitored contact inputs and 8 dry relay voltage free outputs. Moreover, a secondary RS232 serial port allows devices such as MicrAlerts and other third party equipment such a Nemtek electric fence energizers.
The maximum amount of Slave devices on each system is sixty four, each potentially connected to other devices via RS232, which arises to literally hundreds of zones of detection with minimal effort.
Connected together on lengths of 485 cable up to 3km (at high baud rates) and 5km (on low baud rates), this makes MicraNET an affordable budget system with simple easy installation.
